Princesses, patisseries and plenty of wine

Paris. Pretty, picturesque Paris. A set used for many movies and books with beautiful architecture and grand sights. It's a place where beauty and elegance bounces off the walls and works its way down the long streets. Where ever you turn, you see a piece of history; it's just as educational as it is beautiful.

Paris has always been one of those cities that I know I'd fit in. The fashion, the food and the lifestyle is one I admire and experiencing it has been something I've always wanted to do. Walking around the streets and seeing people dressed as if it was Fashion Week was a sight to behold; I admired their dedication to fashion and the time spent getting ready, yet I couldn't believe they would walk around a city in stilettos.

The buzz of the city is inspiring to say the least, I just wanted to be the Parisian version of Carrie Bradshaw and live the high life. A Parisian penthouse,  designer wardrobe and cocktails for lunch; what more could I dream of?

I couldn't resist of spot of photography from one of Paris' best views.

The Eiffel Tower glistens as the evening approaches.

France is known for its elaborate food; especially it patisseries. As a keen baker I couldn't wait to try what Paris had to offer and admire the intricate decorations on display. I enjoyed many pastries with a glass of wine on the side, you just have to embrace the French way of life whilst out there.

With a variety of flavours, there's a bake to tickle everyone's taste buds.

A trip to Paris isn't complete without embracing the magic of DisneyLand. The last time I walked around the enchanted theme park was 15 years ago when a mini, 4 year old Lizzie couldn't believe she was in Sleeping Beauty's castle (yes, it's real, don't kill the magic). I was overcome with excitement to be back again, I really felt like I was embracing my inner 4 year old when I saw the castle sparkle.

Disney has always been something I love and anything to do with princesses or fairy tales has me hooked, so walking around wearing Minnie Mouse ears and watching the parades is pretty much my perfect day.

I fully embraced the atmosphere of Disneyland, the magic and believing in every little aspect, it just makes the day full of joy. I even wore sparkly, red lipstick to embrace my inner Disney Princess.

The character parades, range of rides and Main Street shops make Disneyland suitable for anyone. As it was the 25th Anniversary, the park was decorated in every sense to make it seem like a special occasion. The lampposts had silver Tinkerbell statues and the gifts in the stores were prominently memorabilia for the event.

The parade featured most characters from Disney, everyone's favourite made their way down Main Street at some point. The floats were brilliant as they made the parade more fun, whether it was a swinging boat on Peter Pan's or bubbles on Frozen's; the attention to detail took it to the next level.

The magic continues into the night with the fireworks display. They transform the castle into a background for a light show featuring animations from the most popular Disney films. The fireworks were spectacular to say the least, they lit up the dark, gloomy sky and turned it into a collaboration of colours. It's the perfect way to end a day filled with magic.
